Electric Power Systems (EPS), Empirical Systems Aerospace, and NASA announced today that it has completed a major safety testing milestone for NASA’s X-57 All Electric Aircraft (AEA) Maxwell Energy Storage System. The purpose of the test was to validate that the battery could survive a major thermal event and not pose a risk to the pilot or aircraft.
